Looks like I need to make a run to the PO quick as a Hog!

Ok, back from the PO. CABS showed up. The real surprise was the Convex edge!!!!

So it has a full convex edge. Not just a slight curve from slack belt sharpening, but a convex with a full blend. NO shoulder.

Thanks Busse!!!!!!!!!

The convex edge with no shoulder/ sharp transition to the primary grind means I don't need to spend a bunch of time doing it my self!

On my users I normally spend a lot of hours doing this my self!!!!!

Love it so far!

Now, some real quick crappy pics. Using a BAD for size comparison, and thickness from the spine.

The other surprise was that I got No 18. I would have expected a much higher number. When I was refreshing the page, it finally loaded, but I just kept hitting refresh for a while, until I realized. The older wiser hogs had already gotten their orders in and posted about it by the time I jumped on it.

I do realize, that some of the hogs are trying for specific numbers (like 27) or want #1 etc.

Nice!! That tip looks perfect. Not too thick and not too thin. Alas, I have to wait until tomorrow to fondle mine. :D

COOL. I got the yellow slip saying that I can pick it up tomorrow, I need a beer

Also, in looking at the edge, I think there is a perfect spot that has just enough of a little place to strike a ferro rod right next to the talon hole.

Because it is difficult to get a belt sander right up to the guard, there is often a little flat spot that you can use as a striker.

Still more usable edge than even the small choil, but it also won't catch when cutting stuff. Which I tend to notice more with smaller blades.

I have many cuts on my fingers from the Anorexic Boss Streets...

YES...They are "Wicked Sharp" :D
