The Cacoy Doce Pares World Open Eskrima Championships are to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia this coming 6th – 9th September 2007.

The tournament will feature events including single stick & double stick competition, knife, kulata challenge (limited armour) and forms competition.

The Tournament is open to individuals and teams with categories for men, women and children.

Any Eskrimadors interested in attending should contact Master Glen Gardiner (www.cmaindonesia.com) who is based in Jakarta, Indonesia and is this years host country.

Yes we have a delegation from the USA attending, a team from Poland are attending we are still waiting to hear from other European Countries. The Philippines have there defending title team attending, Austrailia are committed as well as many other countries. We are anticipating for a minimum of 500 participants so the three day event should be a good one.

Personnaly, I'm looking forward to the knife sparring section.
 
That there will be some highlights on YouTube? This is starting to look like a real good way of getting some publicity for your event, as well as a way for people to get a taste of whats being offered.

PS Go the Aussies!!! Theres a really hot chick in my home town of Adelaide, who is a solicitor by day and stickfighter by night. I hope she cleans up! Her name is Nadia Blake.
 
Of course, I am one of the referees for the event so I will keep a look out for Nadia Blake (no favours of course!).
 
Sounds like its going to be a great competition, whish i could come along, you going to put some vids on you tube? That would be great.
