If one were to toy with the idea of knife design on the pc, which program would be most user friendly. I have a few sketches, some fixed and folder designs...I'd like to see what I can do with them. Any ideas would be helpful!
Thanks.

Use your drawing program that comes with windows. This will give you a idea of what its like for free. These programs are not for everyone. A real cad program is labor intensive. It takes time to design with them.. but when your done you have a real knife that works..

Take a look!!!

Salmon,

I have John Apperson's CadStd v2.03b, a shareware CAD tool. registration gives you advanced features, but lines arcs, circles are standard. I think it increments down to about .125 inches. At least, I can't seem to get arcs smaller than that. The learning curve is quick and it is pretty intuitive. I downloaded it off of the web.

Stonefish..

Do you have a URL for that shareware CAD program?
Thanks

I should have figured that someone would ask. The URL is

Great program!

Got Minos at the same time myself, but thanks anyway. I don't have a real need for it yet.

CAD programs can be very frustrating when you are not experienced with them. I found a great beginner program called DeltaCad. Though it does not have as many features as AutoCAD, it is great program for a beginner. It is a shareware and I found it at deltacad@dcad.com. good luck
