Sorry if I'm putting this in the wrong forum, but I wanted to let as many folks as possible know.........
Well folks, my domain name expired (and yes, I forgot all about it)......some company has "snatched" it and if you go to caffreyknives.com, you will now come to some sort of search/business site. I have purchased a new domain name (caffreyknives.NET) note the ending will now be NET instead of COM. I will have to wait until Monday to get with my ISP and get the new domain name working, in the mean time please bear with me, and let everyone you can, know about the change. I did some research on the company that "snatched" my domain name, and it seems that they are in the business of doing this in an attempt to drive people to thier web site. I have sent them an email asking if I could purchase the domain, but I expect they will want some outlandish price.......so at least for the next 5 years the domain name caffreyknives.net is mine. Sorry if this was a problem for anyone, but now it will take me a bit to catch up on all the backlogged emails and all of the links out there!

Wow Ed, that's unfortunate. I'm pretty annoyed by this sort of "domain piracy." It seems to me that you have a legitimate claim on a website involving your name that these folks don't. Good luck getting this sorted out.

You sold out and wear a coat and tie to work now....

come on ed............you dont have us fooled!!!! :(

get a lawyer friend to send them a letter on company stationary.

You are a Business, they are defaming your product

Sorry to hear about the hassles, Ed. In the meantime, one more hassle--you need to change your signature to reflect the ".net".

ouch... The cyber-squatter strikes again..... :(
Sorry to hear that... Wish someone would eliminate those annoying people like that.

Thank god for the five year domain registration option :D I did one year last time around and almost forgot. Caught it at the last minute and took a five year this time.

Once I get to my ISP on Monday, and get the ball rolling to utilize the new domain name, I will go through all the forum sites and get eamails out to all my link partners to update. Right now any changes would be useless since neither my web site nor email will work until the new domain is updated with my ISP. Thanks for reminding me though! It's just another one of the things that go along with these kinds of crooks I suppose. I'll let everyone know when everything is back up and operating normally.
