Happy Masters Sunday!
My Chaves 229 was feeling gritty at 75% open. I decided to disassemble it to clean and lube. Never took a knife apart until today. This one is pretty simple. When I pulled apart the titanium slabs, the bearings fell out. They have a recessed side and a flat side. Which side goes against the blade?
Thanks!

Do you have any photos?

Didn't take any pix, but tried it both ways. The action is more to my liking with the recess on the frame. Thanks for responding, Robert.

btw you can watch more youtube <disassembly titanium knife> videos.

i am no fan of bearings.. dust sand dirt lint water juice dandruff gunk gets in stays in. and the steel balls do rust. i substituted ceramic balls.
