I found out about these in the IRC chatroom many months ago. Michael was going to do a bunch of these in S30V so I placed my order, and to be honest kind of forgot about it.

Well months go by and the knives are ready. I just picked it up from the PO today (darn mailman left me a package slip yesterday without even knocking on my door!). This knife is a hell of a value. A custom neck knife with Paul Bos heat treated S30V blade, and kydex neck/belt sheath. The grinds are even; handle edges radiused; secure in the kydex sheath.

I think the neatest feature which I haven't seen before is the lanyard hole. From a side profile it looks like there is no lanyard hole. But the scales are slotted such that the landyard can feed through very cleverly. I'll post pics to be more clear.

Thanks Michael!!!

Here's that trick lanyard hole I was trying to describe:

That's a nice little number, Mitch, Care to scale all the dimensions out for us?
Thanks!

Thanks for the pictures! My Cajun is on it's way from Fla. I can't wait...
From other pic's I've seen I never noticed the hidden lanyard hole. How cool!

It's got a 6" OAL, with a 3" blade. For my smallish hands it's a three finger knife, but I would easily imagine it to be a 2 finger knife for people with larger hands.

Welcome Berr! Dunno what kind of profile you're testing, but you could contact Michael and get one of these knives to test out! :) I'm liking mine a lot so far!

Thanks for the kind words and the pix Mitch!! Sure is nice when a satisfied customer posts nice things about my work!!

I had a BBQ last night, so I used the Cajun for misc tasks like cutting open wrappers and cutting into the chicken to see if it was cooked etc. Cajun performed well! :) From an ergonomics standpoint it would be nice if there was some gun checkering/serrations on spine for a little more grip with the thumb. Also might be nice if the edges of the spine were "melted" a little. Just some suggestions for a more refined (probably a little more costly) version.

So who else got one of these and what are your impressions?

I bought one off a fellow formite with stag scales. It's become one of my favorite knives to carry. A good value IMHO, it's nicely designed and finished. One of the sharpest blades I own too. :)

Edited to add that mine is 154cm.

My Cajun just got here on Tuesday. These are indeed a great value in a custom blade. It's longer overall than a LaGriffe, but has a longer and more useful blade, IMO.

I love it! :D
