Well guys, I was out with some of my khuks today and I had encountered a bit of a problem... the buttcap on my CAK had came loose and now the handle jiggles a bit towards the end, I was wondering what, if anything, could be done to remedy this issue. I will post some pix to show whats goin on.

The easy way to fix it is to inject epoxy under the buttcap and then re-peen it tight.
Not so easy is grinding off the peen, grinding the handle down a little to expose more of the nipples for re-peening then gluing and re-peening the buttcap back on.
I've alerted Auntie to this thread and I'm pretty sure she'll tell you to send it back for replacement.

remember to take a file to it after epoxy and get those edges smoothed out so they dont cut your hand!

Return the CAK for replacement, Mr. Dickiss

Excellent warranty response as always:)

I have had a loose buttcap like that that I "fixed" with a good smack with a hammer. The horn just shrunk up a bit, so giving it a whack to peen it tighter and giving the handle a drink of hooflex locked it back up like a bank vault.

That's why I love Himalayan Imports. Auntie is a no nonsense person when it comes to this stuff. She stands behind everything she sells. I will NEVER buy a kukri from another vendor. I bought 2 non HI's in the beginning of my khuk journey... I will never give either company my business anymore.

Himalayan Imports and Auntie are both rare jewels that are hard to find in todays fast paced world. HI=Quality, Heart, and Soul

Auntie is the best, she always takes care of people who have things happen like this, I am very thankful for her and her service. She has been nothing but a pleasure to do business with and that is why HI is my favorite and why i keep coming back for more Khuks.
