I made this knife for my daughter's wedding. The 8 inch blade is made of CPM S30V, the bolsters and handle pins are stainless steel and engraved by Jim Small. The handle is made of walrus ivory. The knife will be cased in a box made of fiddle back maple.

The wedding is in one week and I am currently looking for my marbles and my wife has my check book. Pray for me.:D

Wow...that blows the one I made for my wedding out of the water. That is a great gift! Best wishes to your daughter on a happy marriage.

What A Beautiful, Heartfelt Gift For Your Daughter & Your Soon To Be Son!
You & Your Family Are Very Blessed!
Thank You For Sharing!

Wonderful execution!! I considered making one for my wedding, but didn't think I had the skill to make it the way I wanted it to be, which would be pretty much just like that! Beautiful!

That's a beautiful knife for a beautiful day. Best wishes for your daughter.

Buttercream can be pretty tough on an edge and those frosting roses can be awfully abrasive. Don't get me started on fondant... Did you take this into account when making the knife? ;)

BEAUTIFUL knife... and a GREAT gift for the new couple. Congrats on your daughters wedding... and best of luck w/your sanity... :( :foot: ;) :barf:    :p :D:D (the multiple emotions i'm sure u're feeling... lol)

That's a beautiful knife! Your daughter is getting a very special gift for her special day. That's also a terrific heirloom for her to pass along!

Thanks for the comments guys. It was a knife I enjoyed making and knowing that it was likely going to stay in the family made it easier. I have included a couple of pictures of the finished knife and box. One thing I did find out about half way through is that I'm a knife maker not a box maker and you need different equipment to make boxes than you do knives. You should have seen the look on Harry's face when he saw me surface grinding the box.:D
