Hi all, I had this arrive today and it's such a nice knife.

Story has it, (Calico Forge facebook page) this was designed with help from Andy's son, Aaron, and he's only 10 years old.

The first word that comes to mind is; robust, and you can choke down on the knife and grip on the blade jimping. It's quite heavy, weighing in at 219 grams (223 after I added a paracord lanyard). It's very ergonomic and it's size does not really translate to the heft and secure feeling that comes with handling it. The sheath is also a beautiful addition if not an integral part of the blade. It's well made, has the nice CF stamp, and comes with attachment straps. It's fits snug and slides in and out with a reassuring click. The tanto blade tip is ridiculously sharp, has a thick weight behind it, and penetrates easily. Also the factory edge is razor sharp and easily shaves hairs and cuts through 550 paracord like butter.

Overall this piece was very worth the price. It includes the lifetime warranty, which even includes the sheath.

Here she is next to my Sinn U2.

I have been eyeing Calico Forge for a while now. I thought the pilot's knife was his best looking blade but yours might take the title. Great looking blade ...lots of luck! Let us know how it performs.
