Calif. Bush Bash II on Sept. 26-27

Sept. 26-27 presently looks like the best Fall date for our next Calif. gathering. The location would be the same Sequoia National Forest spot as BBI, above Visalia (directions should still be in the BBI thread in the calendar sticky).

Unless Calif. forum members who plan to attend post a lot of conflicts by Sunday, 9/21, we'll assume this is an acceptable date and schedule it.

This time we'll hope for no rain and try to set up a hike and/or some other activities. Should be another great time!:D

Let us know if you plan to attend but the 9/26-7 weekend is a problem for you.

So far, so good: No reported conflicts by members who would otherwise plan to attend.

I thought I'd kick this back up from page 4 for the weekend, just to give more folks a chance to check the date against their calendars.

I hope everyone who wants to attend can make it! We had a great time at the first gathering.

I'll be there! I'm just going to wait a bit longer to make sure this is the date we are keeping and I will be putting in for the days off.
 
Looks like this weekend is not a deal breaker for anyone who plans to join us, so I'm going to post it in the calendar sticky.

We should start thinking about a moderate hike that we can do in the area without a lengthy drive. Maybe even a mountain bike ride?

As with last time, I'm planning to come up Thursday afternoon so that I can get some activities in on Friday. I may even bring my geezer buddy so he can tell everyone what they are doing wrong in their own particular areas of expertise. He won't know anything about it, but he'll still tell you how you could be doing it better!:D [A privilege of Geezerdom.:o]

Mike: So the Toyota is continuing to give you problems? I hope you get your vehicle situation resolved. I know it can be frustrating.

aaaaahhhh guys... bummer... i just checked our calendar again and the 26-27 is the same weekend as a weekend long 3-d archery shoot, that we go to every year...:(

hopefully we can make the next one...:o
 
I'll say that's a bummerito. However, we're talking about a winter gathering in a desert location. It would be a long drive from the central coast but you could count on warm and dry weather. It's also a good opportunity to play with desert stills and other dry terrain water collecting methods.
