Hmmmmm....sounds like we got something cooking don't it?

Shooting and knives...I dunno about going for both on the first outing, why don't we try a meet and greet for a show and tell of knives. Than maybe another get together for some powder burns. My reasoning here is that a day of shooting and than time for checking out knives may carve too much out of one day. Maybe we should break it up a little?
Location, location, location....I say we pick a state park that has plenty of breathing room, something that offers remote areas. We could make it an informal Pot Luck (burgers and dogs), BBQ up some grub and chop up some wood. Grant Ranch comes to mind, Henry Coe Park is pretty big (a little barren but huge), Henry Cowell is beautiful and has a few remote areas, Big Basin is another park that has some remote areas, if we want we could even go smaller if we can be discreet, say Anderson dam or Uvas reservoir even Santa Teresa Park has some areas where we could walk to from the main area and chop away. I think the main idea here would be that we need an area where we can do what we want (within reason) without being disturbed. Hell a vacant lot or warehouse would work but I personally would like something with a little more flavor.
Time frame...well weekends are always a lot busier at parks than during the week, but I would like to do something during the day and have plenty of time to do it without being rushed...so I'm thinking a Saturday or Sunday. Say mid day meet around noon...eat than chop! That way those that have to drive could leave in the morning and have plenty of time to get to the destination we decide on.
Just a little input on a great idea. BTW, sorry I wasn't able to get in touch with you on Friday Ban...the day got a little crazy.
