California - Fixed Blades

I've been really wanting to a get a Kukri Machete (does that even fit into the scope of knives? Sorry, first post) for self defense, but I'd like to obey the law as well.

What are the laws regarding them? The two models I'm considering have blade lengths of 13" and 17" (see image).

If they're even legal in Commiefornia, would I need a license to conceal carry them, and, if so, how old would I have to be to get one?

They are perfectly legal in the Republik , carrying one though in public ? I doubt it.

You did not mention in what context you wanted to carry it , in your truck ? on your person ?

You said conceal carry , you want to conceal carry a kukri ?

yup. in your car, or anywhere but on your person concealed is fine.

many cities, including los angeles have municipal codes prohibiting fixed blade carry.

Even a concealed carry permit in California is only good for a specific gun, and not any gun you feel like having on you that day.

What has to be less than 20 inches? If you are talking fixed blades, for once and for all there is no blade size limits under state law, unless you are carrying a switchblade, or on school grounds. There are various city or municipal limits. Use the search feature.
