California Knife Laws Renumbered

For those in or traveling to California, it is important for you to know the Penal Code had some renumberings effective 1/1/2012.

The very important section 653k is now sections 21510, 17235, and 16965, for example.

Don't ask why...this is California...logic does not apply!

Other knife statutes and a lot of firearm & other weapon statutes have also been renumbered. Here's a list via CalGuns:

It's still where it was. Although it's listed out of order (after 626.95), here:

Probably some bureaucrat in Sacramento screwed up on the renumbering, and they had to put it back.
