I've read the knife laws and codes for my area (santa clara county). There is nothing local to worry about (for me), but CA knife law on hidden knives appears to be left to interpretation...
It first states that hidden knives are illegal to own, sell, carry, etc. Simple enough. However, it then lists examples to clarify what a hidden knife is. Every example is a knife designed to be hidden as you carry it: lipstick, air gauge, cane, belt buckle, etc. What about several of the 700+ knives I inherited that are wall decorations, sculpted to look like faces, but the tops are actually handles for knives hidden inside? I intend to sell the knives that are legal in california. Unfortunately, I have been unable to get a firm legal opinion on these hidden knives, so now I ask everyone who has an opinion.
Much Appreciated.
