California laws on concealmeant

I usually like to carry a folding knife deep in my pocket or with the clip on my pocket. Some one recently tried to scare me saying that it was illegal under the laws of concealing a knife. I was wondering what truth was in this. Thanks

Generally, folding knives are legal to carry concealed in CA as long as they are not a switchblade or butterfly knife. There is not state restriction on blade length or number of sharp edges, as long as it folds.

The rules are more restrictive for government buildings and schools.
