Tomorrow my family sets out for a few places, me being 16 may have stricter knife control than adults.

We are visitng Santa Barbra, San Francisco, Alcatraz, and Yosemity national forest. So Law gurus, will my 6" fixed 156BT and my M16 be legal to carry in these locations?

In most places, as long as its not conceled , its legal. A lot of cities have thier own laws, For example, I live in a town in northern california, and can wear a knife around town, but if I drive 30 miles away to the nearest "city",they have a law that states no knives with a blade length of more than two inches allowed. If you don`t look like a trouble maker you should be ok. If you look like trouble, then it is a tool for law enforcement to use.

the only place up hear in the bay area you would get in legal trouble is berkeley they have a length specific law (3")
