CALIFORNIANS: An urgent thread is on the ATKI forum!

I have been fighting BS gun laws since I was 18... We have no say in this state anymore... I say GET OUT!! The knife laws are just a tiny bit of the reason I want out of this state, and I MAKE KNIVES!! This state is OVER! If you can get out do it!! Be ahead of the curve..

Trace Rinaldi

I can give you 54 good reasons that's a bad idea...each of those 54 is a seat in the US House of Reps. This state is 1/9th of the US population, if we let it collapse into a true "People's Republic" the whole nation will fall.

Running only makes you die tired.

Fight.

Jim you can vote till your blue in the face!!! It wont matter... Calif is over, you might want to be the last conservative in Calif. But I am OUT!!! I hate the fact that I have to leave but there is no alternative!
I would rather be in Idaho when this crap comes to roost....

Take Care

Who said anything about voting? That's just a small part of what's needed.

I'm the lead plaintiff and lead investigator in a Federal lawsuit over this state's screwed up CCW system - see also http://www.ninehundred.com/~equalccw/trial2

I'm also the guy that got the Million Mom March (aka "Commie Mommies") thrown out of their free office space in disgrace, after proving they'd defrauded the city and county of San Fran of millions of bux - see also:

http://www.sfexaminer.com/news/default.jsp?story=n.mom.0412w - ran on the front page of this daily paper on 4/12/01, contains a minor mistake in which Andrew McGuire (boo, hiss) is mis-named "James McGuire".

The full details:
https://www.keepandbeararms.com/information/XcIBViewItem.asp?ID=1953 (this is the document the SF Exam based their story on)

https://www.keepandbeararms.com/information/XcIBViewItem.asp?ID=2017 (a later followup, contains some truly funny stuff involving a gun-grabbin' lunatic and his pet hand grenade

)

Voting only goes so far. Identifying the totalitarians, investigating their wrongdoing and kicking them in the teeth for it is MUCH more satisfying.

California may be 1/9th of the population however one thing that was evident from some of the election returns this fall is that most of the wackos and liberals seem to be concentrated in a couple of locations. You delete about 3 states we suddently find that there is more sanity in our country than we thought.

I say abandon ship, set up some really high chain link fences then get Lex Luthor to drop a few nukes on the fault line...problem solved and Alec Baldwin won't have to leave the country like he said he would if Bush was elected....BTW Alec....times a wastin...you packed yet?

I don't like the idea of running either really but if the lefties and nuts are going to concentrate in one area then all the better.

this sounds like they are going to try the "Saturday Night Special" angle on knives. Laws that ban certain weapons or classify objects as weapons based on their cost/quality are inherently racist and elitist.

Sadly, in a way it's too late. I have a friend who is an L.A. Coutny dep. Sheriff. He said there is a law they are using now to get mostly gangsters with, but even my Leatherman Micra on my keys an be considered a "concealed weapon" if an officer chooses to see it that way. If you are an upstanding citizen, there won't be a problem. But even those lines are blurring these days. Imagine pulling out even that tiny keyring knife to open a package, and being cuffed and hauled away? I'm beyond dumbfounded at the state of this state.

Which law is this? 'Cuz no sech critter.

The LA County Sheriff's office has been run by crooks for years. Baca is the latest in a long line...he's one of the most corrupt Sheriffs in the state, rivalled only by Blanas in Sacramento.

Jim

He said it was an old section of the P.C. that was not really used anymore. Until recently. He told me the section, but I don't remember it.

Jim,
Thank you for posting this.
We are not defeated until we give up.
Thank you for fighting.

Mr. Rinaldi and Mr. March both have valid points.

I know in Maryland, things are so arbitrary when it comes to knives it is not even funny.

You speak with one Officer and they'll tell you that your clip carried knife in the pocket, with the clip exposed is concealed. "I can't tell what that is..."

Even though you have seen 15 other guys on his Department have clip-carried folders in their pockets.

And, what about in the winter and a cool spring or fall? You have a jacket, boom, it's concealed.

Some Officers, and I have heard it directly from their mouths, consider a lock blade knife "Offensive." Meaning, "weapon."

Other Officers consider any knife with the capability to be opened with one hand as a Switchblade, way ahead of California Legislators. They are looking at the SPIRIT of the Switchblade Law and not the letter of the law. And the SPIRIT of the law was to ban pocket knives that could be opened with one hand.

So, when you begin to see the floodgates open, and you are faced with being arrested over a pocketknife...

Or they are going to try to tell you what type of firearm you can own, or an ammunition feeding device [their term for "magazine"], maybe it is time to get out of Dodge.

California is facing some severe problems this summer, because of radical environmentalists...and all they can do is blame it on other people who had nothing to do with it. They made their bed, now they are blaming someone that goes by the nickname of "Dubya" for their own wrinkles in the bed [radical stupidity].

California Liberals love to support nonsense Gun and Knife Legislation, then when things get nasty and their State turns to a Landfill...they run to Colorado, Montana, anywhere they can, and begin to legally dismantle freedom in their next place of residence.

I know I have to leave this State, I'm simply outnumbered here. I would imagine the same is true for California.

It's all a personal call if you want to stay and fight or simply leave and go some place where you can have a greater degree of freedom.

I don't fault either viewpoint.
