Have many of you picked up one of the clip points versions of the ESEE line? What do you think of them? Have you found the sharpened swedge useful for any interesting tasks other than piercing things? And don't forget some pics :D

I ask because a part of me wants to get one to check it out:thumbup: while the other part thinks I won't legally be able to carry it:thumbdn: I'd love hear what you all think.

I have a couple of clip point rc3s I bought when they came out. part of me likes it but for a user the clip point has not been used as yet (Ive not got in any fights). its a bit small and most of my other clip points are larger. (fighters) if its for practical purposes I would stay with regular blade if I had only one choice for a general purpose.and yes its probably not legal to carry (in my state that is) (but that said I wont part with it) and will buy a larger one if when available.I think the clip point is more useful on a larger knife.

From what I remember, Jeff said that the clip-points were requested for a specific purpose. The regular ESEE-3 will do all the utility tasks you need it too as well as cut or stab a person pretty easily, I sure!

I have no personal experience with that, however. ;)

The clip points have a cool factor definately, but as a tool they don't interest me in what I use knives for.

Thanks for the input so far. Pretty much what I expected to hear. I think I'm going to order one if only play with. I'm leaning toward the RC-6:)

I have a CP RC-3

You are correct it does make stabbing things go a touch easyer. I like it for game dressing fish. ( Don't laugh at me). I know most folks use a bendy flexy knife.

I grew up in the mountains of PA where most men use shorter stiffer blades.

The C/P of the rat-3 does a very nice job of allowing me to be careful when gutting smaller pan-fish.

I am very very happy with it.
