Really can't seem to find much user feedback on this knife. On paper seems like a sure fire homerun for smaller EDC.

Hoping to come across a video or something not promoted by benchmade directly. Looking to get one ASAP and just hoping someone out there in the ether has first hand experience.

This is brand new release in Hunt series this year, so it may have not sold much volume yet. This knife comes in S30V blade and has the options of either wood handle or G10 handle.

If you like the size of the knife, it would be excellent knife for hunting / skinner blade.

I love the knife in hand, but I haven't had a chance to do anything with it.

The whole HUNT line is a home run in my opinion.

Received mine from BHQ today. Dymondwood scales are super smooth, I also love these on the fixed blade skinner. I got this knife because I knew based on size it would be basically a mini grip with dymondwood scales( faux wood that doesn't dry out, crack or absorb moisture ).....and I was right. Almost the exact same size and feel..nice touches with barrel spacers and grooved liners. Feels very solid and the blade is thicker than the MG. I am little concerned with sharpening the recurve but it can be done. Homerun if small folders are your thing. I think the 484 Nakamura is a little sexier but this is gonna be more rugged and low key. Like the cut out in the liners for a leather lace tied in a knot as a lanyard. Axis lock has flatter studs which allow more finger thumb purchase which seems to pull easier. Smooth g-10-like- wood-like updated mini grip. Thumbs up!

Dymond wood is actually wood, but just very precisely manufactured wood product. like knife grade plywood.

I took a look at the Saddle Mountain Skinner while at our local REI store yesterday and was impressed. The blade runs as one-piece from tip to tang and the fit and finish was very good. I liked the center of balance, which felt good in my hand, and the ability to remove the wood scales with a T-10 torx is a plus. With a big bellied recurve in S30V this would make a great field knife.
