Calling all North Georgia Boys Question about LAND

Hey guys I could use your input. The wife and I are thinking about getting some acreage to build a cabin and have a getaway. I live in SW Florida and FL land is just too inflated. Could use some advice and get pointed in the right direction. Would also like to be able to hunt and be close to fishing. I saw the Oconee Forest park is also in N. GA. Any land that abuts the forest? At this point we are wide open to suggestions. Thanks for your time.

I'd suggest spending a few weekends in some of the smaller N. Georgia towns and see which one suits you. Land prices around Ellijay and Blue Ridge are high. Mineral bluff and other less developed areas are popular but more affordable. There are also a ton of cabins for sale. Good luck with the search....
