One of the things that adds to anybody's sharpening skill using any method, is the accumulation of knowledge and attention paid to the experiences of others.
To this end Clay over at the Wicked Edge has developed a database or Wiki if you like, for the use of all WEPS owners to add sharpening details based on their experiences with their knives. See here:
http://www.wickededgeusa.com/index.php?option=com_joodb&view=catalog&Itemid=94
There are a variety of sections for: edge angles used, stones used and the stone progression, the steel used in the blade and many other spots to give details about your knives such as blade length, thickness, edge geometry and so on.There is also room for comments on your method used or just interesting details on the knife you posted.
I just took a look at it and it is easy to see that this information accumulated here, will assist everyone who sharpens with the WEPS and even those who use other methods and are wondering about edge angles and edge geometries that are being used on knives like theirs. I am going to get my data organized and add it to this great Wiki. I have had my WEPS for 2 years now, so this is a good excuse to gather all my data together and put it to good use.
Take a look and maybe you will add your accumulated knowledge to this important database.
Best regards to all
