Recently I read a post relating that you were somehow well versed in repairing khukuries. I for one would be very pleased in knowing just what services you are capable of (full handle replacement, removing blade imperfections, convex grind, handle repairs, SHEATHS!!!, etc.)

I feel that having a gifted artisan would only help HI's sales, and I would be the very first to substantiate the hypothesis... (i.e., I'm ready to order if you can customize my khukuri). You might want to first get the "official O.K." to let forumites know what you offer, or e-mail us individually. I believe that you and Daniel Koster will be working more and more as time goes on...

Thanks for your help!

P.S. Place me # 1 on your list...

Dan :)

Dan,

I've been doing warranty repair work and have learned the hard way that school doesn't leave me enough time to get involved with customization. The repair work has been almost exclusively blade and tang work, with the necessary disassembly and reassembly needed for that work.

I have one more year of school, and then may get more involved with custom work. For now, I'm afraid it's repairs and occasionally a quick regrinding or rehardening project only.

Thanks for the interest.

Thanks, Art; now we know... Best wishes with you continued studies!

Dan :)
