Just out of curiosity, do you go to Gobbler's Knob to enjoy the Ground Hog Day festivities, and watch Punxsutawney Phil emerge? Given that you live there, I have always been curious about this.

Well, today is the day, and it seemed like a good day to ask.

But, I heard that the news was not good.

As a former resident of the Keystone state... I've wanted to put a .22 right through that little ground rat's head just about every year I've been alive. Stupid thing...

yea chuck, let us know what you think, we have had a great winter here in the ole north state, of course i like the snow, good stuff, hope to get to go skiing this year, will be great condiitions, got sleet and freezing rain today...suppose to get some more white stuff this weekend...

Ken,

I did work the event last night and the forecast was six more weeks of winter. Good news for winter activities. Bad news if you hate winter. :D

We had a decent sized crowd given the cold weather. It got down to about 5 degrees last night.

I am amazed at how people come from all over the globe to view the event.

I live an hour away and have never in my life gone or even thought of going....

I was a little farther away than an hour, but yeah, no interest in going, in 20 or so years living in PA. Granted, some of those years I was a bit too young to make those sorts of decisions, but even if I could, I wouldn't have wanted to go.

I know PA is a boring state (TRUST ME, I KNOW), but I've never been bored enough to go watch a ground rat crawl out of its hole. :D

Oh the snow and the cold, ah man. -----Wait I live in ALASKA, oh well!!!

I live close by too but I never get to go cause I always get too liquored up.
:D
