For those of you who don't know, I'm currently residing in Germany and ordering stuff from the good ol' US of A is a pain in the derrière! :thumbdn:

I'd been working on some micarta from Tomar's but wasn't getting the results I wanted and then spied some OD ones on the bay.

So... I summoned all my courage and contacted my buddy Liveitloud and asked him for a huge favor! :o

Being the awesome guy that he is he complied and after long ado, they arrived yesterday!!!!

Unboxing:

Like I said, the shots don't do them justice, they look great!!

Saintcutlery are good folk, might send him and email and see if he plans on making more!

Patiently waiting for him to finish some more sets. I need a half dozen more and pick up some black ones this time too.

Hey Lecter good to see you got them and you like them. I love the set I got. Saint Cutlery did a bang up job on them. The pics really don't show how nice they look. Mine doesn't photograph as well as they look either. Like that stripped 2 and love that sheath. Damn, I need to get me one of those!

Oooh sweet timing. I just pulled the trigger on some OD scales from these guys for the BK-11 I have on order. Will have to ask whether there will be some for the 2/7/9 coming soon as well.

Where did the sheath come from? That looks awesome.

Sent you an email yesterday! ;)

Email replied. Just noticed that you sent one the other day too. It must have found my spam box. I fixed it. Thought I could go outside and get some shots that would show the color better. Didn't really show it either but figured I would post up anyway.

Have noticed though that these scales darken nicely the more you use them. The oil from your hands really give them a darker green look. Lemme run outside real quick and take some comparison shots of the 11 next to the 7 and will post them up next.

He probably got it on the Spec ops site. It is a combat master sheath short I think. I have been lusting after this sheath for awhile. Missed out on a great sale on them a month or so back.

This shows it a bit better. These will look great after they have had some use.

It's funny that they show up gray on the pictures, isn't it?

Yeah ozgooner, that's a Spec-Ops short sheath, like it a lot but the pouch doesn't hold much.

Yeah it really is. No matter, I know what they look like. I thought about putting some mineral oil on them but don't want to f them up. :)
