I was looking for pans on amazon, and noticed that they had Calphalon knives, and that they were very cheap.

An eight inch chef's knife is $20, with a choice of a classic or contemporary handle. (And no, I have no affiliation with Amazon or Calphalon).

I went to Macy's to try them out, but they said they no longer carried them. and had closed them out.

So anyone tried these? I've been thinking about getting some more kitchen knives to compliment my set of Henkels Five Stars.

Before I saw the Calphalon knives, I was thinking of getting some Forschners with Fibrox handles. Maybe getting an extra eight inch chef's knife and a 3.5 inch paring knife, since those are the one's I use the most.

Or maybe I should just keep using my Henkels (which I like a lot...)

Ive been selling cutlery and cookware while working retail for almost five years now. The calphalon is decent in comparision to low end knives like farberware, butI dont even think its comparable to henckles. I have the henckles professional s series, and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it or any other henckles set(outside of the international). The calphalon doesnt seem to have as high a quality of materials, and didnt feel comfortable in my hands. just my .02.
