Caly 3.5: are the CF scales thicker than the G10 scales?

The 3.5 is one of my favorite EDC knives of all time, and it is a sad thing that the G10 flavor is being discontinued. I'm considering adding another 3.5 to the arsenal, but I also place a premium on thinness in the pocket. Fortunately, the CF version will live on.

With that in mind, is the 3.5 CF thicker (at the scales) than the 3.5 G10, or are they about the same? Thanks.

Ive got a mic and both caly 3's close at hand. I cant imagine the 3.5 having much disparity.

That's excellent customer service, deric. Thanks. I will probably go for the CF version as I already have the G10. Love the G10.

The cf 3 version is one of my all time favs. Has a bit more of a refined feel with the smoother, to some better looking scales. The blade, atleast mine has a slightly higher polish and that blade steel is a dream. Got mine before they were even available to purchase a many years ago and its still razor sharp. Granted it doesnt see much hard use, mainly light cutting chores but its certainly seen much more pocket time then the rest of my herd. Really want the 3.5, just cant justify it atm. I have owned a Superblue Caly 3.5 in the past as well as the standard VG10 version. Unfortunately I don't have them anymore so I can't do a real time comparison, but I would say from memory that the CF/ZDP189 model that I now own is if anything slightly thinner than the G10 versions. It has a great feel, just the right amount of texture for grip, but very smooth in the pocket. Great knife.
