Caly 3 CF Rivet Problem

Just got this amazing laminated blade today. Couldn't help but notice this model has rivets instead of m/f torx.

Two of the rivets on my knife on the pocket clip side are slightly off and tilt up enough to snag thread. This is dissapointing because the connectors should be totally flush. This does not seem overly critical to me and I have not had a Spyderco QC issue b4.

I wish to exchange the knife so what do you guys think try my sellers 7 day exchange or can a Spydie rep help?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Can't tell if yours is abnormal but the rivets don't sit flush on that model. The "dome" will be above the scale.

If you had ordered your knife online, it'll be better to contact Spyderco directly.

I think he's talking about the rivet not being totally sunk into the scale, not that it's domed on top. The Caly 3 I had had the same issue, sharp edge on the side of a rivet. I fixed it with two small blocks of wood and tack hammer.

And, honestly, with a model like the laminated Caly 3, I'd do the same again over exchanging it, since the lamination lines differ so wildly knife to knife.
