Caly 3 or Lum?

I am looking for a new edc/ gentlemen's knife and I can't decide between the carbon fiber Caly 3 or the glass fiber Lum. Any opinions/recommendations?

The Lum Chinese folder is one of my favorite patterns of all time, and it's wicked sharp. I carry the bigger G10 version with no discomfort.

Between the C3 and Lum, the edge length is fairly similar, but the Lum is quite a bit wider in the pocket and carries a little higher regardless of where you place the pocket clip.
I personally prefer the Lum, but think it is more an aesthetic choice rather than utility - the ergos are significantly worse than the Caly 3 but still very useable.
If they made a G-10/nested liner version with ZDP I would be all over it.
If you don't mind the size, the larger Lum makes a better EDC, but perhaps not for "gentlemanly" pursuits per se. It is on my short list of ones to buy.
If you can find a ZDP/Alu Lum for around 100, I would pick that over the Caly3/ZDP if just for the non-laminate steel - one of my fav "light duty" EDC that can take a fairly thin very sharp edge that is still quite strong. The Caly 3's "sandwich" 420J2 will pick up scratches fairly quickly.

I have a G10 Caly3 and I think it's a great gentleman's EDC. The G10 is a bit rough on the pocket edges though so the CF version should be good. Keep an eye open for the new Caly3 Damascus Sprint if you don't mind waiting (more $$$ too). I haven't handled a Lum yet but the glass fiber scales remind me of glass cutting boards which I'm not fond of.

Is the Gayle Bradley considered a gentlemans EDC folder? Lol

Kidding aside, I just bought a Caly 3 CF and Dragonfly G10 for my office/gentleman EDC during the week.....

This is the first I've heard of a Caly 3 sprint. More details please! Have I been living under a rock?

Thank you; that looks awesome. Going to have to start saving my pennies for that.
