Caly 3 ZDP-189 with G-10 handle... Is it out? Is this correct?

I thought only the FRN handle was available and that the CF wouldn't be available for a while. But then I found this http://www.savsonswordsandknives.com/spca3pledzd.html

Is that right? It's available in G-10?

BTW, for those who own both G-10 and carbon fiber handles by Spyderco, how do they compare? I might wait for the CF, but is the only advantage to CF the weight and the cool factor? I don't care about the weight....

savson lists stuff early, they had the blk caly jr in zdp on their site months before it was available

I think you are getting the Calypso Jr. and the Caly3 confused. The Caly Jr. has been made in stainless, micarta and FRN. The Caly3 is only available in G-10 at this moment, although a run of Caly3s with ZDP-189 steel and carbon fiber handle scales is planned for this year. Just to confuse things a little more, there is currently a run of black FRN Caly Jr.s with ZDP-189 blades on the market.

I know, that's what I was talking about.

Sorry, but I was talking strictly ZDP-189. It's available is black FRN, and soon CF and apparently it will also be available with G-10.

I didn't notice until later that the ZDP-189 in G-10 from www.savsonswordsandknives.com are not available yet.

So now I just have to figure out if I want it in CF or G-10... hmm...

As far as I know, there are no plans for CF or G-10 Caly Jr.s, only the Caly3s. It's a shame, too. I'd be all over a linered G-10 Caly Jr. in a heartbeat.
