caly3 blade play

I bought a caly 3 couple weeks ago, and I have a little tiny bit of blade play. I can move the blade up and down just a tiny bit. Since the handle has rivets, I can't tighten it up to possibly get rid of the play. Any suggestions on how to fix this and also will this get worse over time? I think the amount of play stayed the same, but now it seems easier to move the blade up and down. For such a highly praised knife, I was a bit surprised. This is the g10 caly3 btw.

its a slicer, and a very safe one at that! No worries man! I have an abundance of spydies with back locks (MY FAVORITE) and almost all of them have a slight amount of play when you wiggle the top of the blade. Just tested my G10 Caly, its not a sebenza, but I guarantee a sebenza doesnt slice like this thing! And its $300 cheaper.

The Caly is my all-time favorite pocket knife right behind the FRN Calypso Jr. It will never fail you I promise. If it does, Spyderco will make it right!

The Caly3 (like all backlocks) should have a small amount of vertical "give" when cutting. This isn't considered play, and actually increases the reliability of the lock because it gets tighter.

Out of all my Spydies, the Manix is the only one with no discernible blade play. It's normal and harmless.

My stainless Police is my oldest and hardest used, and I'd say it's only gotten a tiny bit worse in the blade play department. I'd still bet my life on it.
