Calypso Jr. Blade Alignment

I just bought a Calypso Jr. model C52PBK. I love the knife except for one thing.

When the knife is closed, the blade rests off center. The blade is skewed enough so that, if I apply .any. sideways force while opening the knife with my right hand, the blade will rub against the side of the channel in which the blade rests. In order to avoid this, I have taken to opening the knife with my left hand.

I went back to the store where I bought the knife and looked at the other Calpyso Jr. that they had in stock. It also had an off-center blade.

Is the blade supposed to be off center when closed? If not, is there a simple adjustment that I could do, or do I need to send the knife in for service?

Thanks,

Thanks for the references.

OK, so the blade is a little warped. I can live with that. I just need to open and close the knife with my left hand in order to keep the blade from rubbing against the side of the channel.

Any idea about how to get the clip screws out so that I can set the knife up for left pocket carry? It seems that a phillips 00 is the best fit for these screws, but when I tried it, I just about stripped the heads of the screws. I'm afraid to try again for fear of completely stripping them. Torx #6 would have been nice

It looks like I may be stuck with a right handed clip setup with a left pocket carry. Oh well, there are much worse things in life.
