I just got one from New Graham, and this must be the best Spyderco I have. The lock bar and blade position are about as close to perfect as you could ask for a $40 knife. The blade is made from steel just a hair thicker than the Delica, but the flat grind goes down to an ideally-thin edge. The handle shape is perfect--the index finger choil and the thumb rest area are perfectly spaced for my hand. It also has a blade choil near the base which I like to have on any knife (blades without it tend to get misshapen after many sharpenings). It also opens with no obvious lumps and locks up as solid as I have been saying I wish the Delicas would. The handle texture looks a little weird with a seam behind the spider logo, but that's because the scallop pattern reverses to give grip in both directions

Now I know why all you people like this one so much. I should buy 5 of them before they are all gone.

Sal, I hope you keep this model around for a long time, or bring it back if production is already over. It's one of the best knives you have. I used to suggest a Delica whenever someone asked which was the best "only" knife to have, but this one might have to share the spot.

Hehe welcome to the club.

The texturing on the scales grew on me a lot. It just seems to stay put in my hand even lightly held. It's a big feature in my book.

Please let me be the first person to mention the word 'lightsabre'. ;)

Love mine, too. Try stropping it after getting it good and sharp on a sharpmaker; makes a scalpel seem like a worn out disposable razor.

Choils are good!
