Does anyone know who makes the Calypso Jr. for Spyderco. I can't seem to find it on the G.Sakai website. Do they make it? The blade says Japan, but not Seki-City. Anyone know?

I'm pretty positive that like all of the other Japanese Spyderco's, that the Calypso Jr is made in Seki City.

Welcome to Bladeforums :) I can't answer your question, but we have a section/forum exculsively for spyderco under the makers/mfgs link at the top of the page. If you either post this, or do a search over there I'm sure you'll find an answer.

Made in the Seki City, Japan facility along with 90% of the spyderco lineup. Just the S60V and S30V are done in the Golden plant (State side).

Bob,
I love the Calypso Jr. spyderco. Unfortunately I think that this maybe a discontinued style. Does anyone know for sure if it has been discontinued. Great knife.

Yes, it is a discontinued model. Hopefully, we can talk Sal into making a small run for us hardcore fans though. ;)

Hey Sal, if you are reading this(and, I know you are), think VG10 and carbon fiber or G10. :)

The Calypso Jr. was discontinued, however, due to continued pestering of Sal, a new run of Calypso Jr.'s has been made and should be available now. Get them while they last!

Merry Christmas to all.

They have made a special run of Calypso Junior Lightweights. I picked one up on Saturday at the outlet store. They are starting to reach the internet distributors. Newgraham has them on their website already.
