I know that this knife has recieved probably more press than almost any other Spydie besides perhaps the Millie or Delica/Endura. Still I feel the need to give my thumbs up (way up!). I've owned a serrated version before, but the plain edge I picked up today blows even it out of the water. I had hoped to buy a new gray handled version but low and behold my favorite B&M store found some plain edge/black handled models in old stock. 50 bucks later, I am in knife bliss. Very smoooth and this is probably the sharpest Spyderco OOB that I've ever seen...and that says alot!!!!
Couldn't be better,
Matt

I always heard good things about the Calypso, and really didn't like the way it looked. For some reason I would always overlook a Calypso. Until I received one in a trade a few days ago, and DAMN!!! This knife is great! I need another.

I have to agree that the Calypso is a wonderful little knife. I have always been biased towards the Native and that sabre grind but the Calypso is simply the most efficient cutting design in its size I know about.

I've had mine just about a week now and so far so good. Flat ground blades are a breeze to sharpen.

Anthony,
If you ever want to let go of that nice grey model you have, you know who to call ;)

I only have the older (black) version, but what a knife! It has instantly became one of my top favorites! In fact, I carry it right now, as I type ;)
