One big frustration in fitting up a folder is the stop position. A little bit too much and you have lock rock, or a little wear does the same. The stop pins have been round and allow no adjustments. Problem solved: stop pin that is CAM shaped. You fit up the knife as usual, then can fine tune for early or deeper lock up. You can also adjust for wear or personal taste later on. All my folders now have this as a standard feature, have fit up about 200 so far. I will also make these available for other makers. We can custom make different sizes and USA Knife Maker (http://www.usaknifemaker.com/) carries them.

CAM-STOP Tutorial. We are now installing CAM-STOPs in all our folders. These are available to any knife maker through US Knife Maker. Here is how it works.

Install CAM-STOP with smallest width towards the blade. There is a hole through from low to highest lobe. Install blade, set lock up / detent as usual (first picture). Assemble, fine tune lock position by rotating the CAM-STOP. I use a Allen wrench, let's me get around the corner. Done. You can the adjust for wear or personal taste.

I have this tutorial on Facebook : Three Sisters Forge, llc. Having a hard time posting pictures.
