Howdy all. This is my first post on this forum but I can add a little something on Citadel: I was in Cambodia back in 2009 and visited the Citadel shop in PP. I spoke with a mr Saint hilaire and his French wife about his knives, they invited us to visit their production facility located in the direction of PP international airport. My partner and I went there on a weekend and toured their facility examining the process. The younger French guy at the facility wasn't thrilled to take time away from his job to walk us through but he did so and we were able to pick out the Mini Kukhries that most suited us for approximately$135 each. Funny thing, in SE Asia where everything is negotiable, the shop nor the plant would negotiate on the price even though 4 of us purchased Kukris (we packed them on our person at night and felt more secure during our work).
I don't know of any other knife makers in Phnom Penh (PP) or Cambodia and I asked both expats and locals during my 4 trips there.
My kukri has not been used but I plan to carry it on on my next deer or elk hunt because it should not sit unused. At the time citadel did not have any other lock back folders but the kukri otherwise I would have purchased a smaller knife for regular carry as they are attractive and good feeling knives.
