Picked this up for 10$ bucks today cause it caught my eye and was pretty much mint and unused. Cant tell if it is a fish knife cause of the scaler on the back or just an all around camp utility knife. the pic on the sheath looks like a guy standing in the woods. The knife says camco usa and has can opener with an arrow and cap lifter with an arrow pointing to either side of the pommel. Pretty neat piece anybody familiar with this one or its age.- Joel

The trademarked name CAMCO was first used around 1954, so I would hazard to guess this knife post-dates that. After some time, they stopped using that name. It was later revived for a line of inexpensive imported knives.

There is still a large gap in the catalogs posted on the Camillus collector's web site built and maintained by Larry (lrv here on BF.com), so I can't really tell you the year span of the producion of this fish knife more than the trademark history.

I like it!!!!
Is the blade flexible/thin like a fillet knife??

Trent its not to flexible to tell ya the truth pretty stiff, but I have filleted fish with knives as stiff as this one is. Tgnathe I really like this knife too!!! I know its pretty simple but I must say I thought it was pretty darn sweet. and the sheath is nearly mint as well. The handle is comparible to a paring knife or something but I would find it to be very functional in a camp or even the kitchen!!!!

here is another pic
