I'm new here, and got here by way of an old Schrade Walden 6" single blade folding knife that was given to me by a friend. Anybody know of such a knife and what it was used for? The blade is long and thin and its utility is a mystery to me.
Thanks

It only has markings on the bolster that says "Schrade Cutco" and i can barely make out "Walden" I think. The handle is ivory-like (white).

Sounds like a Melon-tester. I'm sure there will be more people by to tell you what it is used for.

Thanks. Actually it looks like an overgrown pen-knife, lengthwise anyways... and the blade is almost thin enough to be a straight razor except for its not hollow ground and the tip isn't square; its more rounded pen-knife like.
