Camel Bone

It's like most natural materials, it can vary significantly in quality. I've seen low end porous browns and high quality white. All that I have seen has more character than cow bone. It often has banding in it. It has a reputation for being a good material to work with. Chess sets are the most common use that I'm aware of.
