The Camelbak All Clear water purification system (as introduced at SHOT 2012) will be available at retailers in March 2012. It appears to be a nice compact self contained system that uses UV to render the little waterborne uglies unable to kick you in the proverbial guts. However, I personally believe that the debris screen should be included with the package but I'm not a marketing kind of guy.

perfect timing since i'm in the market for one. it solves my problem with the steripen - i can flip the bottle over and over to get maximum treatment. thanks for the head's up!

These bottles swap tops and seal, but this is a less common Nalgene from what I have seen. I prefer this size all around because its got more than a pint Nalgene, but fits in about every cup holder.

Pumping a filter seems to have got old school!
Personally I'd rather take a pump for extended outdoors trips... Mr Murphy will turn up when you least expect and then you're out of water.

Great idea for travellers though since you'll always have your bottle with you in a self contained unit. If it breaks down just buy bottled water - not so easy if you're deep in a forest.
