With spring in full swing here, I have been dusting off the fun toys, bikes, boats, etc. And got out my camelbak and found it somehow got a small puncture in the bladder, maybe 3/16" long. Has anyone here successfully patched one? I know Camelbak has a guarantee, but it expressly does not cover damage from an accident, only defects in workmanship or materials.

Yeah, I thought I would have to, but it is just a small hole. Kinda seems a waste to me. I'll do some more looking around the net. Thanx for the help.

Small holes still leak water. You don't want to be outside somewhere when you discover that your patch has failed. Spend the dough and get a new water bladder.

I know, I know. It just is a bit irritating having to 86 it because of such a small tear. I'm not one to just throw things out right away. But I'm going to have to I guess. Maybe I'll call the warranty department tomorrow just to see if on a chance they'll cover it.

Get a new one for "mission-critical" uses. Patch and keep the old one for local stuff where a leak wouldn't be disastrous.
