I'm considering getting one of these as a light hiking/overnight pack. I've searched everywhere on da net, but haven't seen any pics or reviews that allow me to judge the relative size of the pack and the main compartment.

Does anybody have any have any pic like this for relative size and capacity of the main compartment? I own a BFM for comparitive purposes if that helps.

From Sierra Trading Post:

Top-loading main compartment with heavy-duty zipper Multiple attachment points Compression straps for varying loads Interior mesh pockets for organizing small items Anatomic back pad Reinforced, padded shoulder straps and hip belt Side pockets and internal organizer Six-point strap system mounts a second, outboard reservoir Size: Approx. 21x14x11” Capacity: 1820 cu.in. hope that helps some

I've seen that as well, but it says nothing about how the space is apportioned between the various pockets. Hence the need for a relative size pic.

There was actually someone here who did a review with the pics that I'm looking for, but whoever was hosting his pics isn't doing it anymore. Thus all I get are blue question marks.

Not a pic, but I had the Condor knock-off for awhile... The main body is decently sized in and of itself. The two side pockets are much bigger than a Nalgene bottle and reasonably expandable - however, they expand both ways, to the inside and the outside. Depending on what you attach to the outside, this could impinge a little on the inside main body space. The outer pocket is fairsized, capable of carrying a couple of large books, or a lot of small stuff, and has internal organizer pockets to seperate 'em. That pocket also is on an expandable suspension system, so that it can be let out to say carry 150' worth of rope cpmfortably, or just your sweater. The top pocket, or lid pocket, can hold plenty of small gear, or a balaclava, gloves and headlamp easily. Also, it's big enough for a Glock 27 and extra mags. It rides comfortably enough and one can find plenty of MOLLE compatable pockets to virtually double carrying capacity.
I know this isn't a pic, per se, but I hope that helps.
