I'd say you're off to a pretty good start.

What kind of camera are you using?

Nathan, it looks like you did real good.
If you're looking for suggestions I'll make one. It looks like your light source is behind your subject and to the left. If you use a reflector (a white card for example) in front of the subject to the right, you would be able to bounce some light onto the handle and the edge of the knife.

You are correct I did have the light in the back and to the left
I did that on purpose,I had someone else tell me about the white paper to bounch it back, sounds like it would help me out.
I will have to give that a go.I think taking pictures is harder
than making knive.
I used a Nikon 4300,I still have not tapped into what the camera can do yet,
Thanks for all the input and suggestions.

Of course, you've made a lot more knives than you have taken pictures with your new camera. If you take a picture of every knife you finish it'll soon become second nature to you. That's providing you get your lighting setup down and stick to it. If you change it for every knife you make it'll seem impossible. I promised you Weyer and Point 7 stick with the same lighting setup. Follow the KISS formula and you should have no problem. I'd say you're about 90% there right now.

Phil
I have only completed 7 knives the one pictured is number seven
I like to KISS everything I do,but still like a little different
approach, and look from the norm.that is the fun part of knife making
createing somthing unique and different.:)
