Hello everybody! I've been trying to find some info on my Camilla Marlin spike but all of the ones I see have a blade on the opposite end. Mine does not. Can anybody explain why I can't find anything about mine? I apologise, I tried to post a pic but it doesn't seem to work

See if Camillus Marlinspike yields better results.
I have been and I see plenty of them with the blade but not one with just the pick. I guy in a Facebook group said it could be that when the company went out of business that they sold the leftover parts to an employee and maybe it's one they built. The guy seemed pretty knowledgeable about the Camilla company but Idk. He said it was a rare piece so thought I'd check on it.

I would agree with your FB friend. There were a number of oddities marked "Camillus" that hit eBay after the demise of the company in 2007. Might not have been an employee. All sorts of individual parts got sold during the liquidation. Lots of garage mechanics were making odd things out of them. I've never seen a Camillus or any knife company sell a "knife" with just a marlin spike on it. You are certain that the blade is not snapped off at the base rather than missing?

I'm positive there is nothing at the other end. If I could figure out how to post a pic I could show you. The way it looks, there is actually 2 short pins on that end with nothing in-between them. Like there nothing holding the 2 halves together.

Just checking.
That being the case, I think it was an oddity assembled from left over parts and was not really "produced" by Camillus. I could be wrong, but that is my opinion.

Well, I def appreciate your opinion. Do you think that would make it more collectable/more value? Or because of that would it be worth less
