Camillius BK9 scale different size?

Hey guys, I just brought a Camillus made BK9 off the exchange here and it had custom g10 scales on it. The standard factory grivory scales don't fit it nor do my wood ones made by tommy. The scale is too wide, from top to bottom, leaving excess handle sticking out with the tang recessed in. Is it supposed to be like this?

I also sent tommythewho an email about possibly getting a set to match this knife perfectly, still waiting for a response ATM.

Are you looking to ditch the g10? I've got a Camillus BK2 with the original grivory an would be happy to trade.....
