In 1991 Camillus put out a 115th anniversary knife.It was a model 716
double lockback large trapper with stag handles. It came in a beautiful laser engraved wood box. The knives were serial numbered.
My question is how many were made and the approx value today? Can anyone help?

JOCKO,
I remember the knife....it was in my opinion the nicest traditional folder that CAMILLUS has produced in "modern times". The stag was excellent on them, and the fit and finish was superb. That project was before my time, so I'll let Tom Williams fill you in on the numbers produced.

As far as the value is concerned, your best bet would be the Benard Levine Collectors forum. Its not really "cricket" for use to assign value to older CAMILLUS knives. I would be that if you put a pic of it up on the For Sale forum, it move fast though, as pretty as that stag is!

Thanks Will !
Will be waiting for Tom's reply.
When are we going for that beer?

The Camillus 115th Anniversary Knife was introduced during the Fall of 1990. A total of 1,000 knives were made. The introductory retail price was $150.00.

Tom,
Thanks for the quick reply. Since my serial number is 0053 I guess I have a early prouduction knife. I will have to check EBAY for its value.

Good collecting!

Nice Vitaly!
What # did you get?
Word to the wise, less than 1000 were made, if I recall it was close to 600 actually shipped.

Vitaly,
It is Sales #716C
#716Y was Yellow Delrin.
#716S was Delrin Stag.

Pattern #5830

Phil,
Every time I see a drawing or photo of the parts of our knives, I get nostalgic and think of the work that went into making those knives and all the good times there. Then I remember the last few months there and wish it had ended years earlier. LOL!
