I just came up with a 21 pattern with bone handles. Just wondering if Phil or Tom might have an idea of when Camillus would have offered this pattern in bone. The stamp with the long underline under CAMILLUS indicates post 1960 I do believe. These 21 patterns are almost always seen with various composites being used. It is a sabre cut master blade on both sides. All blade surfaces crocus polished.

Was there a special edition possibly? The only catalog I've seen with the Bone Stag specification on this pattern was 1946. It looks similar to some of the bone you would expect on the 69 pattern, which was offered with bone handles for a longer duration than other patterns.

Thanks

Very nice looking knife. Looks like a low mileage one, at least not abused. You called the master blade "saber cut". What does that refer to? The main blade seems to me to be different on each side.

Ed - Yes, sabre cut on the front side only. The back side is flat. I must have thinking of the Ulster I have that is a similar knife.

I will use this topic that would show my #21 knife. It's exactly the same as the one shown above, but with derlin handles.
