If it's in any kind of shape at all, you betcher! Camillus made a lot of great knives over the course of 100 years or so - in addition to their own brands, made contract knives for Buck, Schrade, Case, Imperial, Sears / Craftsman, and I think even Gerber and Case on occasion. You'll see lots of references to them in this forum. Some of the participants are former Camillus employees, and there's a Camillus sub-forum under 'Manufacturers'.

Congrats! I think you got a good one. Enjoy!

The camillus 64 is a very nice edc knife. Good rugged construction, and the awl is a great tool with many uses, limited only by imagination.

Carry it and use the heck out of it.

Carl.

Arrrgh. This is absurd but when reminded of Camillius' demise (in particular the way we watched events like concerned relatives, moreso than Schrade which I think caught most of us short), I get the same feeling (less intense obviously, that I associate with the passing of family.

I can't assuage those feelings with knowledge that they're in a better place, but I can with this thought: what better legacy could a person (or a corporation for that matter) leave than to be fondly remembered?

Almost seems like Camillus made knives for every brand in the USA at one time! It's almost weird how the Camillus brand knives are usually very inexpensive but some of the knives they made for other brands are much more costly. They made some really nice Moore Maker knives.

camillus made some great knives, very solid blades indeed,to get a stockman in very good cond.for $4 is a steal:thumbup::cool:

Really nice knife.
IVANKERLY, thanks for the links.I just got a #8 in a trade that the catalog helped me date.

I look for anything these days. Collecting knives is getting harder by the day if you like the old ones.

boy do i hear that, only things i'm seeing are over priced, used and abused knives or insanely priced safe queens... completely struck out the last three times i went out looking.
not seeing many camillus though... a few here or there. usually used alot, which i suppose is a testament to their quality back in the day:)
