Dose anyone know if the Camillus #67 stockman was ever made with the 1095 steel? I see them now and again on e-bay and they look relatively new but they are described as having "high carbon" blades, and sometimes there is pitting evident on the blades. I am reluctant to bid on them because every #67 I see made today has stainless steel, I'm looking for the 1095.

Several times I have tried to ask the dealers to verify what kind of steel is in the blades, but many times the dealer knows nothing about knives and can't answer the question or is not sure.

Was the #67 made in the recent past with 1095?

I don't know about 1095, but some of the older ones were carbon steel. They are mean little slicers and will take a wicked edge with no effort.

Had that one since I was about 10 years old.
