Camillus 883?

I have a 'Woodcraft' series model 883 stockman that looks just like the ones in the old catalogues. Yesterday, I picked up a knife that was also identified as an 883; but this one has 'uncle henry' style delrin scales. My question is this: I believe that Camillus did contract work for Schrade on occasion, hence may have had the 'uncle henry' scales, etc. laying around the shop. Is the knife that I just purchased really an 883, or is it akin to the old 'end of day' knives, i.e. assembled from miscellaneous parts and materials?

Thanks! I'm not surprised that the answer came from Central NY. I was a lad once in Camillus....
